Since the very first day of producing Sweet Spot® Skirts, we have saved every scrap of left over material. Our cutting process is designed to maximize every inch of fabric, but we still have some excess.  Every year we truck the scraps to Deaver, Wyoming where our Queen of Quilting, Jean,  turns them into quilts for charities.  You can read more about it here:  Quilts by Sweet Spot® Skirts.

Last year, Jean enlisted the help of her church squad, The Immanuel Quilters, to help use up some of the scraps.  They each made a quilt for a church fundraiser.  Not only are they saving our landfill and raising money for a good cause, they are having so much fun!  I had a chance to meet some of them at the 1st Annual Scrap Grab.  Scroll thru these pictures for the rest of the story!

It was a frenzy of color and fun.  #whatcanimakenext

There was nothing left by the end of the day!

Can you see your skirt in these quilts?  PS.  Jean bought the bike one and gave it to me!  #benefits

Thank you to all the beautiful women who made a box of scraps look so beautiful.  I can hardly wait to visit you all in May 2017.
Much Love and Many Hugs,

What a fabulous idea for using up all the scraps!! I am also a quilter and appreciate that your scrap fabric was turned into quilts for charities. Also own several of your skirts – love them!! Keep up the great work.
